My boots

These boots are normally quite comfy, but I recently wore them in NYC, walking fast on the hard pavement, and for longer than I wanted to.  Yes, it was a bit painful. I now look at them askance (not a typical word for me!) as I don't trust them to be kind to my feet.

Jacob's Walking Stick

I saw one of these in the Montreal Botanical Gardens years ago, and wanted one ever since. This has been here for 2 years now, and it is growing nicely - I just have to keep trimming off any shoots that want to grow straight!

Asparagus

I got some great new paper to play with - recycled rag, with rough edges, size A6, by Khadi papers.
It's going to be fun to work on something different from the moleskines!

New York, NY

The layout of my daughter & son-in-law's new apartment. Not to scale, it's a bit narrower than shown, but this is quite a bit larger than their previous one!  This is the view from their balcony. I believe it is the NY Life Ins. building on 26th & Park Ave. Could not create the gold roof color!

Electric line

View from my window at work. A good practice sketch for lunch. Yes, the sky really is that dreary today!

Motorcycle sketches

These were done from my friend's bike trip photos, each one says a different message, I think.

Haunted?
This was somewhere in the Catskills, 2010. Triumph Sprint.

Thanks to my friend Jim, for such great photos!

More sketches from Tulum

These were also sketched on site, and the color was added later. I needed to hurry, as I was the last one getting on the bus. While I was rushing back, the others on the bus were voting whether or not to leave me there! My dad (!) was one voting to leave me there!! I 'think' he was kidding, but will never know for sure!
