Finders Keepers

A unique art exhibit at the Philadelphia airport. Artist Ellen Saul collects common objects and transforms them into fun and unique sculptures. 

Plenty of time before the next flight, so I tried to put it to good use! (Sketching of course!)

Tripped up!

I wore my favorite long time hiking boots for a winter walk last week. The lace from the left got caught in a hook on the right, and down I went! Not even enough time to get my hands out of my pockets, so used my chin to break my fall.
Fortunately, it was very slushy out, which lessened a direct impact, but added to the amount of dirt and road salt going in my mouth and face.
I understand newer boots don't have these metal hooks anymore. Maybe it's replacement time?

Mom and Baby

My daughter and son-in-law are expecting - a baby girl! Here is a sketch done for the shower invite.
(Note: Sorry for the grey background on my recent images. Blogger seems to be doing this,
even when I change it to a white background. :( )

Blueberries

A dear friend recently gave me a gift of blueberries (frozen) that she and her daughter picked last summer. 

They are a delicious topping on my oatmeal!!
