Otsiningo Park Farmer's Market

On one of THE most perfect weather days of the year (so far!) I spent an hour at the farmer's market.  It was a great day for gorgeous produce!  I did four sketches, and bought zucchini and some yummy rhubarb cake!

Courthouse monument

Every Friday in downtown Binghamton, they have a lunch concert and farmers market. So I took advantage of the beautiful weather today and sat on the courthouse steps to sketch.  Shame I left before the music started, though. Lots of construction going on to beautify Binghamton.

Now this would make a really unique coffee table. Another sketch from the Restoration Hardware catalog. Their pages are lovely, mostly sepia-toned and the images are so yummy. I might not want a reconstructed piece, but soo many other items would fit perfectly in my home. *sigh*

This settee is in a furniture catalog (I didn't buy it!).  With the inner workings showing and heavily distressed, I guess it's for the same folks that like to buy ripped bluejeans.

No "sun-brella" needed today

June 9, 2012 - Cloudy and looking like rain all day. It's enough to keep me inside and sketch all day! ;-)

Roasted asparagus

June 3, 2012:  I love this veggie, but using the steamer makes it challenging to get the stalks out. So I now roast it in the oven with some olive oil, adding things like fresh garlic, sea salt and grape tomatoes.

June 7, 2012 - Apparently I'm not finished sketching from these yet!  Another sketch from the photos of the ADV riders "From Estonia with love".  Reference photos for these sketches can be found on an amazing motorcycle ride report. (I will add location details at a later date.)

She comes and weeds or gardens for hours,

A mother's day motorcycle ride with a friend led to a sketching day at several relaxing places!

Just now getting to post these.
I freely admit sketching water is not my forte, so I quickly moved on to the 2nd sketch,
the tree near the base of the falls.

 

If only the water would stay still, I might be able to sketch it!
